Let Your Body Breathe

Clothes are not only made to be seen.

We focus on everyday clothing made primarily from plant-derived fibers such as cotton, linen, ramie, lyocell, and modal. Some garments may also include other materials in the main fabric, lining, trims, ribbing, or stretch components. Please check each product page for the complete fiber composition.

Every piece passes four checks: material, feel, fit, and craftsmanship. We do not chase short-lived trends. We choose clothes worth wearing again and again.

Why These Fabrics

What sets the clothes apart — before you open a product page.

01

Breathable

Air moves through the cloth. A lighter weave feels cooler; a heavier one holds more shape.

02

Easy to Wear

We look at cut and drape — whether a piece sits well and moves with you.

03

Plant-Fiber Focus

We focus on cotton, linen, lyocell, ramie, modal, and blends featuring these fibers. Some styles may include other materials; please check each product page for the complete fiber composition.

04

Soften and Crease

The cloth may crease, then soften with wear. That is normal for these fibers, not a flaw.

05

On the Product Page

Fiber and material details, size chart, and care notes are listed there for each style.

Why We Choose Cotton and Linen

Cotton and linen have clothed people for thousands of years.

Even in the last century, everyday clothes were still mostly cotton, linen, silk, and wool. Then the materials changed. Much of what people wear now is synthetic - faster to make, and further from that older cloth.

At Linenroot, we focus on cotton, linen, and related plant fibers for how they feel day to day - and for differences from many plastic-based synthetics on moisture handling.

What Feels Cooler in Summer

Summer comfort is largely about air flow, moisture handling, and heat leaving the skin.

Cotton and linen fabrics are often open enough for air to move. Their moisture regain is commonly cited around about 7%-8% for cotton and about 12%-20% for linen - far above polyester's under-1% range - so sweat is less likely to sit as a film on the skin.

That is why many people reach for cotton tees and linen shirts when the weather turns hot - less as a slogan, more as a response to how these fibers handle air, moisture, and heat.
